Assistant Chief Darrell Jones assists the Chief of Police in the development, administration, coordination, and implementation of departmental policies, procedures, programs, and activities.
Under the direction of the Chief of Police, includes the following other duties may
be assigned. Develops and implements goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
for the department and work units assigned; assists in developing the departmental
budget and provides administrative guidance for the control of budget expenditures.
Represents
the police department at meetings, conferences, and other public functions; acts,
as directed, as media spokesperson for the police department.
Reviews all investigative
reports and directs case assignment to the Detective Division.
